Swimming area in Tainionvirta River is just down the birch lane, about 100 meters from the house. The beach is in shared use with the owner. Tainionkoski power station is nearby, so about 50 m away the water flow can be sometimes hard. Unfortunately, during the winter of 2024-2025, a Virtaankoski restoration project is underway near Uimaranta. During that time, the swimming area will not be in use.
