There is also species like vendace, pike, perch and whitefish. An excellent destination for fishing in rapids is the river Meltausjoki, which starts from the lake Unarinjärvi within 6 km distance. There is good grayling population in river Meltausjoki. Destination 2561 Meltausjoki (www.eraluvat.fi). Hunting: State owned small game hunting areas 2613 Maunu and 3606 Vasaselkä easily accessible (see www.eraluvat.fi). Excursions destinations nearby: island Porosaari with lean-to shelter (1,8 km boat trip) and rapid Unarinköngäs in river Meltausjoki (about 10 km).
