The owner lives about 90 m away and uses the lakeside sauna himself also (the lakeside sauna is about 30 m from the cottage). Washing machine available in the owner's warehouse. Akkovaara's popular nature / hiking trails are a short drive away. The nearest starting point is about 5 km away. The route has an observation tower, which opens up to landscape of Lake Oulujärvi.
