The fishing harbor and boat ramp are 1.5 km away. The house does not have its own boat, but at the fishing harbor, you may have the chance to buy fish when fishermen are present. The nearest shops, restaurants, and refueling services are in Sodankylä at 86 km or Savukoski at 80 km. A small, basic supplies store, Sandran puoti, is 46 km away in Tanhua.
